I love when I come across a book that I can not put down. Stitched with Love is a collection of well written stories by prolific authors. Several of the stories go hand in hand and allow the reader to return to the characters and town that are brought to life by this group of writers. I loved reading this book. It had an amazing collection of love stories. The way that the stories were linked made it feel like a full two length books and not just a collection of short stories. I would not mind to own a hard copy of the book, because this is the kind of stories that one can read over again. If I could choose my favourites it would definitely be the stories in No man's land. About the Author
>Cathy Marie Hake is a Southern California native. She met her two loves at church: Jesus and her husband, Christopher. An RN, she loved working in oncology as well as teaching Lamaze. Health issues forced her to retire, but God opened new possibilities with writing. Since their children have moved out and are married, Cathy and Chris dote on dogs they rescue from a local shelter. A sentimental pack rat, Cathy enjoys scrapbooking and collecting antiques. I m easily distracted during prayer, so I devote certain tasks and chores to specific requests or persons so I can keep faithful in my prayer life. Since her first book in 2000, she s been on multiple best-seller and readers favorite lists.
TRACEY V. BATEMAN serves as president of the American Christian Fiction Writers and has more than thirty stories in print. She believes all things are possible and encourages everyone to dream big. Tracey lives with her husband and four children in the beautiful Missouri Ozarks.
ANDREA BOESHAAR was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Married for twenty-five years, she and her husband Daniel have three sons, two of whom are adults. She's active in her church and enjoys writing books that combine romance with reality and heartbreak with hope. Andrea has been writing for over thirteen years but writing exclusively for the Christian market for six.
Sally Laity considers it a joy to know that the Lord can touch other hearts through her stories. In first grade, Janet Spaeth was asked to write a summary of a story about a family making maple syrup. She wrote all during class, through morning recess, lunch, and afternoon recess, and asked to stay after school. When the teacher pointed out that a summary was supposed to be shorter than the original story, Janet explained that she didn't feel the readers knew the characters well enough, so she was expanding on what was in the first-grade reader. Thus a writer was born. She lives in the Midwest and loves to travel, but to her, the happiest word in the English language is home.
Pamela Tracy started writing at a very young age (a series of romances, all with David Cassidy as the hero. Sometimes Bobby Sherman would interfere).

Stitched with Love

This is a collection of nine novellas all connected to quilting or sewing with a bit of romance thrown in for good measure. I have enjoyed reading most of these novellas before reading them again this time. There was one I hadn't read before and it's the one I'm going to review here.
The Coat by Tracey V Bateman takes place close to the end of World War II. Leah and her son Collin are trying to make it through each day after Collin's father was killed in the war. Collin got a much sought-after scholarship to the Rosemont Academy but he didn't quite fit in. In fact he was being bullied and teased by the other children--one incident tore his coat. Leah has just lost her job at Rosemont Industries and can't afford to buy him a new coat. She takes her grandmother's quilt and makes a lining for Collin's coat. Once again Collin is teased at school and so the headmaster, Max Reilly, calls on Leah to discuss the situation.
Many twists and turns are taken on these nine roads to love and Leah's road is no less rocky. Max wants to build a relationship with Leah and begins with taking an interest in Collin. Unfortunately Claudia, wife to Jake who is brother to Max, tries to throw a monkey wrench in the works and does a fair job.
Like I said this was not the first time I'd read the other eight stories, but they were all worth the second read, especially for an afternoon of entertainment that was clean, fun, and sweet.

This is the best collection book I believe I have ever read. The stories flowed seemelessly together. I would definatley recomend
this. The stories are unpredictable with twists and turns in every story. Enjoyable read.

I chose to purchase this book for 2 reasons. 1: I really enjoy reading romance novels, and 2: I love to cross stitch, along with being a beginner quilter. I enjoyed how the stories were interrelated.
I am looking forward to reading the Bartered Brides series next.
