Disappointed :(

I ordered this book, thinking I would get the above vintage cover, not the 1970s version. This was a special birthday gift for my daughter (a big ND fan), and I was really looking forward to presenting her with her first vintage book. Now while she herself is happy with the book, I am not. The vintage cover is the one on the order details, that is what I thought I paid for. The book is in new condition as described, so no complaint where that is concerned. My annoyance probably won't make a hill of beans difference, but I felt a great deal of disappointment in not giving my daughter the vintage copy, it meant that much to me.

I was disappointed. The cover shown for the book made it look like an applewood books facsimile edition with the original published text. What I received was the yellow covered Grosset and Dunlap edition. This is revised from the original text. I should have known better because the price was fairly low. Will end up donating the book to the library and buying what I wanted on eBay. Book was in good condition, but photo was misleading.

Very Disappointed

I thought this was going to be the original 1937 Applewood Books facsimile edition pictured. However, it ended up being the condensed 1972 edition which I already had. Very disappointed. Buyer beware!
