Lesser Gods is the third installment of the Psionic Pentalogy. This series is meant to be read in order, so if you haven't yet read the first two books, you may want to start with the first, which is Wild-born.

That said, if you're here because you already read Wild-born and The Tower, get ready for a heavier plot in the longest book of this series. Lesser Gods is a darker tale than the first two books. The inter-faction war heats up, reshaping the lives of those caught in between. You may find your opinion of some of the characters changing rapidly, and not always for the better. I certainly did when I was writing them.

Terrific book in a Terrific Series

I really love this series of books. It is well written, tremendous plot and great character development. The details hang together so well from book to book (at the end of the 5th and final book is a very nice author piece explaining his process and why he wrote all five books before publishing any - it was very enjoyable to read about the author's process in his own words.)

I was hooked on book one, which I got for free from one of my Kindle book sites, and happily paid for the remaining four books through Amazon.com. I don't recall a series of books I have enjoyed more. I did enjoy Terry Goodkind's books about The Seeker in much the same way, but this series is right up there with those books in my opinion.

I highly recommend this book, but it is part of a series, and I highly recommend reading the series, as they all hang together more as a unit than as individual books. You need the continuity of the series to truly appreciate them individually.

This is part of a five book series!

I have read all the books to this point, and if you haven't read the first or second, I suggest you start from the beginning, otherwise this book won't mean as much to you. This book gives more of an emotional and personal feeling and view of alot of the main characters. I can't say whether this book or that book is better than the other, as like I said it's a part of a series. I absolutely loved this book as much as the last two. This five book series, which continues from one to the next is just all the way around, excellently written, exciting, adventurous, funny, emotional, twisting, on the edge of your seat can't put it down wonderful story! Characters are well defined and the environment is described beautifully! Kudos to the writer, whatever your real name is! Now, leave me alone for a few days as I have yet another book to buy and see what troubles find Adrian in the fourth book. Hehe That's all I will say as you really do need to read it yourself. :D Happy reading.

Lesser Gods (Psionic Pentalogy)

This whole series is just fabulous and so intense! If there were ever anything possible remote to what these books are like, the author really did a great job. In all I think its about 5 books and each is just as exciting as the first. I recommend this series if you are in to reading a book non-stop adventure. Sometimes it seems a bit extreme because of the starting age of the characters in this series but as you read, you experience their growth year after year. I reccommend this book and the ones before and after it. If you are a Harry Potter fan then its right down your alley.

hurried

This M/M romantic short story sports kind of a supernatural fusion, with many very different supernatural creatures thrown together in a "academy". The supernatural lore is not explained but in this instance it is just as well as it would probably only encumber the plot.
The story itself would have deserved many more pages, though, especially to develop the theme of the jealous Art, but also to make the romantic involvement of the leads a little slower and better paced.
As it is it is quite hurried with some loopholes in logic and plot.
On the other hand, despite a couple of grammar mistakes I could have done without, it is nicely written and pleasant. I would have find it even more romantic if the lovers had been versatile...

Funny and even a little charming

I've never read anything in this genre before, but saw this as a free promotion and thought I would give it a try. I think the idea is very original. The characters are of the paranormal realm - werewolves, nymphs, ghosts - who are all attending the same academy. Bayne, the werewolf, is taken with Lucas, the nymph, and intends to win him over.

Bayne has a reputation as the "love em and leave em" type, until he meets Lucas. However, the author portrays him as funny, and almost charming, in his affections for the nymph, and has some lovely descriptions when Bayne lays eyes on Lucas for the first time.

Being a teacher, I am a bit of a grammar nazi and noticed the omission of commas from time to time that would have made sentences read a little smoother. But overall, it was an enjoyable read.

Touching short

This was a well written short story that I really enjoyed. The characters are fun and I enjoyed the interaction although brief. I would still recommend this. Bayne is the hot werewolf, all rough and tumble. Lucas is just the opposite although he's not a push over in the least.
